Example Three:

As luck would have it, Jerrica receives this mysterious package from her father that contains the key to the astounding device that her father made his remaining-life's work. Further, her father socked away this device along with a good portion of materials that are to be used to the benefit of acts signed to the company after his death. She sees this remarkable device as the perfect vehicle to stop the 'evil' Raymond, and promptly keeps the whole works.

Let's backtrack. Her major problem with Raymond is that she feels he isn't doing justice to the memory of her father, and in response she completely goes against his last wishes. She even convinces the rest of the 'family' that doing so is the 'right' thing to do, and they go along with it mostly because they don't know any better. Had they known the reason Jerrica just HAD to stop Eric, they may have tried to keep her from 'shooting herself in the foot'; though even if they did know why the Misfits had to fail despite being signed to THEIR label, reason suggests that they may have been AFRAID to do so.

Bottom Line: Hypocrisy is not a virtue, but rather widely considered as evil.
